Assessment Process
Candidates opt to sit two papers from the following list of subjects. The chosen subjects should reflect the subjects the candidate intends to take for Sixth Form studies. Each paper is 60 minutes in duration.
Expectation of Academic (GENERAL) Scholars
Academic Scholars are expected to maintain high standards of excellence in their contribution to their academic study, have a consistently purposeful approach to school life, and sustain a strong work ethic.
Every scholarship holder is expected to set an example for other students in their conduct and approach to academic study. Scholarship holders are required to participate in the fuller life of the Senior School through its programme of extra-curricular activities, attend academic lectures and participate in annual academic competitions. Scholarship holders are also required to promote the school as requested at all Open Mornings.
Requirements
For all candidates, the College will require a confidential report from the candidate’s current school to support their application, which should include a
statement of predicted grades at GCSE.
16+ Academic Scholarship applicants are required to have predicted grade 8 in at least five GCSE subjects. In addition they will be expected to demonstrate a high level of intellectual interest and potential in the subjects they intend to study in the Sixth Form.
Past papers are not made available to candidates for any of the Academic Scholarship papers.
