Welcome From the Head of College

Welcome to Ardingly College, where a world-class education meets a nurturing community.

Ardingly is a school in which the personal development of individual children is placed centre stage. Academic learning is important, but not paramount. Exam results are important, but again not paramount. Achieving and winning are important, but again not paramount. Instead, helping every child to grow into themselves with confidence and compassion is the focus of World Ready, and of Ardingly.

This prospectus aims to give you an introduction to the College, what we see as important in education and how we hope to shape children’s young lives for the better. It is also an opportunity for us to start to build the relationship of a child, their parents and school that is the great enabler of successful education. If you feel that the values, priorities and opportunities described here would suit your child and align with your values as parents, we hope to meet you for a school visit and talk further about admission.

We seek to be a stimulating, caring and inclusive school community in which children are able to express the best of themselves and contribute purposefully. We also recognise the complexity of the world in which they are growing up, and our responsibility to anticipate children’s needs as they grow up in today’s world.
