Assessment Process

Please note it is mandatory for all external academic scholarship applicants to attend the ‘11+ Experience Day’ and sit the entrance assessments.

The scholarship assessment process will consist of additional academic assessments and exercises, followed by an interview with a member of our Senior Academic Team. The interview is intended to assess the candidate’s particular academic interests, and candidates applying for an academic scholarship are expected to be able to identify and expand on their intellectual passions either within or outside the topics they have studied at school. For all candidates, we will require a confidential report from the candidate’s current school to support their application.

Expectation of Academic Scholars

Academic Scholars are expected to maintain high standards of excellence in their contribution to their academic study, have a consistently purposeful approach to school life, and sustain a strong work ethic.

Every scholarship holder is expected to set an example for other students in their conduct and approach to academic study. Scholarship holders are required to participate in the fuller life of the Senior School through its programme of extra-curricular activities, attend academic lectures and participate in annual academic competitions. Scholarship holders are also required to promote the school as requested at all Open Mornings.
