DANCE
This year, 245 pupils performed in 5 Dance Shows
It’s been another fantastic year for Dance at Ardingly, with participation growing across the College and some wonderful performances, as well as a memorable trip to New York for senior school dancers. Highlights of this academic year include:
Lost in Motion
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, 2026’s Lost in Motion Dance Show was a magnificent showcase of emerging talent, creative courage and was an utter joy to watch.
Our dance students, whether part of our academic or enrichment programmes, showcased an incredible range of styles - from a depiction of Suffragette solidarity to a raucous Line Dance - left the audience thoroughly entertained.
Other highlights included the Boys’ Dance Company evolutionary Planet Earth, the Lower School dancers’ dark depiction of The Hanging Tree, and a very special showcase from, the senior management team, including Mr. Figgis, who performed a surprise - but unforgettable - ABBA medley!

The Art of Dance
This year’s Art of Dance also proved a vibrant showcase of creativity, with each performance inspired by artwork from last year’s A Level exhibition.
Students choreographed their own original pieces, skilfully blending a range of styles to create something both personal and compelling.
The audience were also treated to an exclusive preview of Wings in the Mirror, a captivating new work that will be entered into Making Moves - the national choreography and performance project led by Sadler’s Wells.
